Noise in the workplace can be a serious health issue and knowing and managing your employees noise exposure levels is a legal requirement under the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005, which applies to all employment areas of the UK.
The assessment consists of surveying shop floor areas and executing static noise readings of the entire factory with respect to noise output at specific locations. The purpose of this exercise is to ascertain a general noise map of the shop floor area. The individual noise sources will be assessed in their operative locations and a calculated noise dose provided for each member of staff or activity.
Where deemed necessary actual personal dose meters will be supplied for monitoring your transient workers.
Provision of a noise survey report will follow with recommendations on ear protection zoning of the factory, personal protection equipment and noise control measures which may be necessary to allow you to comply with the Control of Noise at Work Regulations 2005.
